"Excuse me, Can you tell me where the Bus Stop is?" might sound like a stupid question when asked in San Francisco, but this bus stop I assure you, you will want to find. Oh, and it's not at every block. This Marina bar keeps it old school with it's simple sports bar vibe. You'll find the t.v.s blarin', the pretzels salty, the drinks stiff, and the bathroom... cozy.



The best part about the bathroom is the old fashioned mirror..



And the smallest space award for a potty spot goes to...






THIS Bus Stop is located at 1901 Union Street (at Laguna) in the Marina district.

lime.

Lime is the future, right now. This 'small plates' bar located in the Castro draws in a crowd with it's purple tinted windows and loud fun music. Once inside, the futuristic booths and decor is so 'future' its cheesy. I was lucky to have gone with a group of 7, so I got to try pretty much everything on the menu. Everything was great. From the mini burgers, the ahi poke, to the zucchini frites, this place hit the jackpot with all of its yummy fingerfood.
Not hungry? I went for dinner, but I'm going back for saturday/sunday brunch. $6 all you can drink mimosas? I'll bet with that offer, Lime's potties get a lot of frequent visitors.

The bathroom doesn't become the past at Lime. The futuristic vibe continues as one enter's the potty room.

See that grey screen above the sink? It's a television.



Everything in the bathroom seems like its defying gravity, and all four walls are mirrored completely, so you see multiples of yourself.



Lime is a fun place. Go there. And bring your friends!

weird fish.

There's nothing weird about the fish at this little restaurant. The fish and chips are the best, and the pomegranate mimosas are delectable. The french fries are a perfect mix of yams and potatoes and there are endless vegetarian options. Brunch is served daily.

This quirky eco-friendly restaurant is stylish and affordable.



I was happy to find that Weird Fish keeps to its nautical theme in the bathroom!

my 'other' potty..

My boyfriend lives with 3 other boys, and they all share THIS potty. It's a little different than the one at my house. One difference is the cleanliness, or lack there of. Another difference is the usual position of the seat... UP.



One nice thing about the boys' bathroom is that it looks really cool! The retro peach and teal tile throughout the bathroom, and design of the fixtures give this potty a unique old-fashioned look. When the boys first moved into the house, the bathroom was the main attraction - "Dude, you gotta check out the bathroom." There are 3 different entrances to it, and people are always running into each other in there. Not only is the boys' bathroom a potty spot, it's a place to socialize! ?

my potty.

Alright, so i've been to a lot of places. I've seen a lot of potties. But the potty I see the most is the one that's in the place where I reside. Yes, my house. My potty.

I live with four other girls, and usually all of their boyfriends. This potty has a lot of personality and history. We painted it gold, black and white and every week we take turns cleaning it, well that is our intent.
I love my potty, it's nice.

cha cha cha.

Cha Cha Cha is a fun place, it's literally a jungle in there! The place is decorated like a jungle with crazy things on the walls and colorful bright floral table covers. The sangria is great, at 12 dollars a pitcher. The menu is tapas style-ish, and there are some really tasty treats there. They have a cajun shrimp dish, that come with bread to dip in the delicious sauce that comes with it.

Most importantly though, the jungle theme doesn't stop at the bathroom.





Cha Cha Cha is located at Haight and Shrader.

pauline's pizza.

Pauline's Pizza isn't just your regular pizza place. Using mostly organic ingredients, and even providing an all vegan pizza if desired - Pauline's serves up a fancy pizza! Well, not black tie fancy but it's nice. Each table has a cup of crayons on it so people can doodle on the table while they are waiting for there pizza.





Although the pizza isn't fancy black tie, some might say that the bathroom of Pauline's is exactly that.
The potty looks as if its a throne. The stairs to walk up to the potty make you feel like royalty!



There's even a chandelier in there!






Pauline's Pizza is located on Valencia between 14th and 15th.

zam zam.

This little bar looks like a Persian fairytale-like cave. The place is pretty tiny, but that adds to the cozy romantic vibe. Each candlelit table is surrounded by comfortable seating. The actual bar itself is truly the centerpiece of Zam Zam because it looks cartoonish and beautiful. The bar is lit up and decorated as a Persian scene, it's really an unexpected treat coming off of Haight Street.

The bathroom is decorated less Persian-y but it's still bright and pretty.









Aub Zam Zam is located at Haight and Clayton.

sacred grounds.

The Sacred Grounds is a quiet lounge-cafe where you can sit with your laptop or book and not be bothered. There are couches and benches with tables set up to give the feeling that you are just at someone's house, in a really big living room. Fridays and Saturdays there is live music, and on Wednesday evenings poetry readings are held.

The vibe is really laid-back and low key. And so is the toilet! The bathroom is located behind the counter and kitchen. To get to the potty, you have to walk past the person making someone's bagel or espresso drink.





There are collaged pieces of different wallpaper from the 1970s covering the walls.









The Sacred Grounds is located at Hayes and Cole.

The perfect place to grab a drink and some fish 'n chips with friends is the Irish Bank. Hidden in one of those neat little alley ways in downtown San Francisco, this isn't just your ordinary Irish pub. The place is filled with interesting pictures and artifacts. An antique collector could have a field day in this pub.




The decor doesn't stop at the Bathrooms. Each stall is covered with framed pictures and things, and the wood and brick walls of the pub carry into the bathrooms as well.



The Irish Bank gets pretty crowded weekends, but at this particular establishment I say "the more the merrier!" The outside seating is perfect for a snack and a pint with friends!

casa vega.

Casa Vega is a classic Mexican restaurant in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. The old school style of the restaurant is what keeps it popular and busy. The waiters and waitresses dress in authentic Mexican suits and dresses, and the deep red booths are lit only by candlelight. The restaurant is so dark when you first walk in, that your eyes have to adjust in order to walk around, never mind read the menu! Casa Vega is romantic at any time of day, and the food is so good and authentic. The best chips and salsa in the world I'd say.

The bathroom is very clean and matches the style of the restaurant..


but the lights are a little brighter in there.. phew!

Santa Barbara's fresh seafood restaurant, Fish House is known for the consistent quality of their dishes. This is where I recently had one of the best meals since Cafe Bastille in San Francisco. With lobster, oysters, halibut and shrimp cooked to perfection - you just can't go wrong with a meal at Fish House.

The bathroom goes along with the beach-y theme of the restaurant. The walls are all slanted and there are polls going every which way from the ceiling.





Fish House is located at Cabrillo Blvd and State Street.

cafe bastille.

Cafe Bastille just might be my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. The food is perfect every time, and so is the ambiance and service. The decor of the little French restaurant is colorful and romantic, and that goes for the bathroom as well..









Cafe Bastille is located at 22 Belden Place, off of Bush and Kearny.

club deluxe.

In and club with a name like "Deluxe," one might assume that a bathroom located in such an establishment would be of "deluxe" nature. This bathroom goes against the grain- and the name for that matter.

Although maybe not the highest in luxury, the bathroom is quirky and fun..





Club Deluxe is a special place. There is live Jazz - Tuesday through Sunday, and Stand Up Comedy on Monday nights. This cozy little bar in the heart of the Haight, happens to have really good Greyhounds (:vodka, fresh pressed grapefruit juice, a squirt of lime, and a spritz of club soda). They use an old-fashioned metal citrus press to squeeze the grapefruit, and it gives the drink a nice refreshing taste.



Club Deluxe is located at Haight and Ashbury.

el balazo.

The food is decent, and the bathrooms are COVERED in graffitti. There isn't an inch of the stalls not covered with writting. The toilet seats, mirrors, walls, ceiling, and any other bathroom fixture you can think of is marked up. Most public bathrooms will get tagged in, it's inevitable. What makes Balazo's bathroom fun, is that it provides a place where people can come and sign without feeling guilty - because, Hey! everyone's doing it! Right?

This is a place where the exterior is just as colorful as the bathroom stalls inside..
